Japanese hornets are in Michigan!?

I saw one recently flying around in Macomb County ~2 inches long, about as long and as fat as my little finger, yellow and black stripes. I have seen them at a temple in Kyoto several years ago and was shocked to see one here. I was as close as 15 feet, and I know what I saw. Don’t know how it got here, but the question is how wide spread are they and are they here to stay? Which is why I goolged this site. I see they were sighted recently in Ohio and South Carolina. Are there any other recent sightings ?

my husband has applied to numerous jobs that have denied him the position because they are not willing to wait for me to find a daycare center for our 3 year old daughter. every time I search online, i am unable to find a good link for daycare centers in my area. does anyone know a good daycare center that is inexpensive to join in macomb county so that my husband may get a job?

Why no tornado?

Im by Detroit (Macomb County), and it was really severe weather here a lil bit ago, the tornado sirens went off, sky turned pitch black, i nearly couldnt get the door closed it was so windy, we go take cover, and nothin. There was no warning even for here…why do they set the sirens off when there is no tornado? Is there like a wind speed or something they set it off at? There was like hurricane force winds here.

Any color bowl will do. I saw these containers or bowls during the holidays. I have been to Target, Kmart, Walmarts and Meijers. Cannot find them in Macomb or Oakland county.
