You should check with the County Bar Association (I couldn’t find a buzz number for them so they may not be committed). You should try call the Georgia State Bar Association. But be warned, the charges may not be a matter of public record except the charge was found to be right and even then, the attorney may only be referred to any published report by initials (except the violation was especially egregious).
The number for the Georgia State Bar Association’s Secion for Attorney Discipline is
(800) 334-6865 ext. 720 or (404) 527-8720
Excellent Luck. Terrible lawyers give all lawyers a terrible name.
It is unlikely that a lawyer would be brought up on charges before a county bar association. More likely the complaint (except a very informal one, leading to mediation and not sanctions) would be brought before the Attorney Discipline Board: http://www.michbar.org/professional/disciplinary.cfm
Normally, actions of state boards are published, often online. Do a Google search or look at the link above. Note that judges can impose or recommend discipline based on misdemeanors during trials.
((The other two answers above make no sense, given what I have just said. The link above leads to three relevant sites:
* Attorney Discipline Board
* Attorney Grievance Commission
* Judicial Tenure Commission ))
call your county’s bar association and they will be abe to give you any info you need regarding any lawyer that is registered with them.
